Supreme Court hearings, the release of a Manhattan prosecutor’s letter of resignation, a MAGA senator’s story about the former president’s demand to “rescind” the results of his election loss, ailing Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ lone vote in favor of Trump’s claim of executive privilege over public documents while his wife Ginni’s texts urging former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to cancel the peaceful transition of power to President elect Joe Biden, all more or less coming under the scrutiny of the News business this week. Justice is a joke in this country where both of our two major representative parties claim to stand for the Rule of Law. The Republicans are louder about it, of course, shrill even; likely because they host a corrupt caucus of sociopathic liars, agitators and perverts. Most Democrats at least try to live up to the law, attempting to establish justice and to hold power accountable, but they tend to be restrained on the former and Catholic about the latter — nopologies accepted and go and sin no more.
