“Proud Boys, Stand Back and Stand By.”

Now that the Trumps and a growing number of high-level Republicans have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, this seems like old news already. But yes, I will still pile on. Donald Trump is a fascist. He is a Proud Boy, an Oath Keeper, a Patriot Prayer guy, Three Percenter and all of it, because they are his blackshirts, his cossacks, his storm troopers.

Joe Biden showed up for a debate at a Fox News interview by Chris Wallace; and when Biden mentioned the Proud Boys while Wallace asked if the president would condemn white supremacy, Trump demurred, answering, “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by.”

Another month of pandemic lockdown and here we are into the Fall. Disorder is the landscape. Our president doesn’t know what white supremacy means, doesn’t know who the Proud Boys are after having waved the bloody shirt of Proud Boy Aaron “Jay” Danielson for the better part of a month and having told them himself in a broadcast debate just the night before in front of the whole world to “stand by.” So, of course, Joe Biden is the one in cognitive decline and requiring drug tests to “debate” Donald Trump. The bullshit piles up so high these days you need wings to stay above it.

“Proud Boys, stand back and stand by,” Trump said in response to the challenge by debate moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News. “But I’ll tell you what, someone’s gotta do something about Antifa and the left.” Which sounds an awful lot like a promise to eventually give the word to send his storm troopers into action. KKK fascist says what…?

Yeah, way back when, Trump somehow never heard of David Duke, either. “I don’t know anything about David Duke. I don’t know what you’re even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacist. I don’t know. I don’t know, did he endorse me, or what’s going on?” But he knows an awful lot about Antifa, an abbreviation for Anti-Fascist Action.

The Kurdish YPG, or People’s Protection Units, fought alongside US troops to defeat ISIS until Trump moved US troops out of Turkish fascist Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s way so his troops could slaughter our allies. Some Western Anti-Fascist Action (Antifa) sympathizers had volunteered with YPG units in their battles against ISIS, while Erdogan has insisted that all Kurdish militias are “terrorist organizations.” So, Erdogan and Trump are now exploiting that relationship to try and likewise designate Antifa as a “terrorist organization.”

This is real. This is where we have been and it has been spectacularly obvious since Trump began his run for office. “Let them call you racist,” Trump’s campaign wizard and White House staffer Steve Bannon said to the French National Front, back in 2018. “Let them call you xenophobes. Let them call you nativist. Wear it as a badge of honor. Because every day, we get stronger, and they get weaker…. I did not come here as a teacher, I came here as an observer, and to learn. What I’ve learned is that you’re part of a worldwide movement, that is bigger than France, bigger than Italy, bigger than Hungary — bigger than all of it. And history is on our side.”

At a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany equivocated over Trump’s demurring for the benefit of his master race base claiming Democrats “refused to condemn Antifa.” This is the wall upon which Bothsidesism must crash and burn. Patriot Prayer and Proud Boys fly giant Trump flags from the payloads of their pickup trucks. Kyle Rittenhouse was photographed in the front row of a Trump rally in January. God love them, but show me the Antifa people rallying for the Biden-Harris campaign.

There is no longer any use for speculation over whether or not Trump leads a fascist death cult. From his LIBERATE MICHIGAN!, MINNESOTA! and VIRGINIA! tweets during the armed pandemic policy protests in the capitols of the states to which Trump punted his presidential responsibility for a pandemic response, to his fanboyish slobbering over the world’s fascist despots like Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Viktor Orban, Bibi Netanyahu, Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin, the matter is no longer up for debate.
