“If we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion,” proclaimed General Mike Flynn to the sanctuary of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, packed with QAnon devotees, Infowarriors, white supremacists, Christian nationalists, the economically anxious, and assorted other superpatriotic conservatives on Nov. 13, 2021 CE. “One nation under God, and one religion under God.”

The Republican Party has been waging a Crusade against modernity for the better part of a century, even before adding “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance on Flag Day, 1954, and is showing no signs of letting up. There is simply no point being subtle, as proven by the messianic mishegoss in Pennsylvania:
